Follow-up meeting – 4 September 2012 Quantification and implementation of impact assessment
How to potentially implement the different SLM practices in SWAT:
- Fruit trees, multipurpose trees and enclosures : through LU change
- Terraces, bunds, river diversions, wells: through management options
- Water harvesting: through utilities
For the full and partial adoption scenarios, N3 will deliver boolean rasters for each of the practices, according to the following principles:
- Practices to be assigned to: (i) sub-basins, (ii) HRUs within the sub-basins and (iii) TI-classes within HRUs
- Partial adoption: only where adoption expected to be above average
For the “campaign” scenario, we will take advantage of the Sept 14th QuickWater meeting to enquire about the amount of terraces per kebele
